Betty Jean Screws

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the proud wife of Mr. Javis Screws, who passed in 2017. She was also a devoted homemaker who loved spending time with her family. Betty enjoyed cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Georgia football, and in her younger years she enjoyed cooking.

She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She also loved sharing meals and making special memories with them.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, six siblings (three brothers and three sisters), and her beloved daughter, Joyce Crone.

She is survived by her children: Brenda McCallum Gray, Ronald McCallum, Juanita Jones, Bonnie Jean Morris, Joseph Daniel Screws, and Angela Antinoro.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home in Douglasville.

The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain David Primm officiating, and she will be laid to rest at Sunrise Garden of Memories.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
