Bobby Joe was born on December 19th, 1944 in Atlanta Georgia. He was a family man, who would do everything in his power to make you laugh. He combated stressful situations with his goofy sense of humor. If he didn’t aggravate you, then he didn’t like you to much and with that being said, he aggravated everyone! Bobby Joe was not scared of hard work and was always willing to help, even if you didn’t need it. He was also too stubborn to know when to stop to take a break and would just keep going until whatever he was doing was done.
Bobby Joe loved the Lord and loved to hear good gospel singing. He didn’t talk in church a whole lot, but when he did, it was short, sweet, and to the point. “Thank Jesus for saving my soul” was what he said, and you could tell he meant it by the way he would wipe the tears from his eyes as he sat back down.
Bobby Joe was preceded in death by his parents Jullian and Mattie Mullins; his brother Luke Mullins; his sisters Mary Moore and Ann Mullins; his daughter Cynthia Jenkins; his son-in-law Andy Long and two of his grandkids.
He is survived by wife of 45 years Brenda Mullins; Daughters Sherry Sweet, Bobbie Long, and Laura (Andy) McClung. 10 grandkids and 16 great grandkids.
Mr. Mullins' Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 5:00pm at Browns Chapel Baptist Church located at 4057 Due West Road NW Marietta, GA 30364. Pastor Matthew Smith will be officiating the service.
