Charles Ronnie Hand was born Sept 19, 1941 in Donaldsonville, GA and passed away July 29, 2026 at the age of 84. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a lead mechanic at Delta Airlines until his retirement. Mr. Hand was a faithful member of Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church and a proud Douglas County resident for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda J Hand and his son, Wendell Hand (Carrie); daughter, Ronda Brodmyer (John); step-daughters, Cheryl Steenrod, Robin Dyer (Mark), Lisa Milner (Kyle); stepson, Eddie Ethridge (Denise); brother, Lynn Hand (Martha), 10 grandkids, 7 great grandkids, and 1 great great grandkid as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Eleanor Hand of Colquitt, GA; his brother, Budsey, his first wife, Linda McLendon Hand and 1 grandson.

Visitation will be held at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home, 8640 Rose Ave Douglasville, GA 30134, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, and a Committal Service at Rosehaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
