

Denise was a proud and devoted member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 145 and the American Legion Riders Post 145. She found great joy in the friendships and sense of community she shared with her Legion family. Denise loved watching NASCAR and keeping up with the news, often with a cup of coffee in hand. She enjoyed scrolling through Facebook, playing Candy Crush, and spending precious time with her extended family. She also enjoyed working at the North Georgia State Fair and loved riding motorcycles or following along in the chase vehicle, always ready for the next adventure.
Denise was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her father, Bobby Joe Stephens, and Shirley Anne Folds; her children, Josh Redd, Melissa Redd, and Chris Redd; her siblings, Brianna Padgett, Rhonda Baughcum, Timmy Stephens, Mickey Stephens, and Tanner Stephens; her grandchildren, Haley, Big Maddie, Hannah, Little Maddie, Johnthan, Julia, and Kayla; and her great-grandchildren, Oaklyn, Nolan, Bentley, Jeremiah, Brooklyn, Stormi, and JR. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many bonus children and grandchildren, whom she loved and claimed as her own.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Alicia Johnson; her daughter-in-law, Brandy Blair Redd; and her stepfather, Gene Walters.
Visitation will be held at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28th, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 3:00 PM. In keeping with Denise’s wishes, she will be cremated following the service.
Denise will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, strong spirit, and love for her family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
