Christy Dawn Brown

She was born in Gadsden, Alabama on July 31, 1971, daughter of Jerry G. Easterwood and Georgia Faye Jackson.

Christy had a servant’s heart, and she loved working with and helping people. She was a personal caretaker, sitting with the elderly, for three years. She loved her dog, Jack, a miniature pincher. Christy attended Pine Grove Baptist Church in Heflin, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin David Brown; and step-father; Jerry G. Easterwood.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory are her brothers; Tony Easterwood (Angela), Charles Humphrey, sisters; Angel Easterwood and Denise Shelby (Tony); numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel of Whitley-Garner at 4:00 PM.

Interment will take place following the service in Rosehaven Cemetery.
