

Clarence Johnson, age 64, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, November 1, 2021. He was born August 12, 1957 in Mullins, South Carolina. Clarence graduated from Trenton High School in Trenton, New Jersey. After completing high school, he joined the United States Marines where he proudly served his country as a Veteran for four years, then an additional two years in the Reserves. For a short while, Clarence worked with UPS before becoming a Deputy with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, where he worked as a jailer. He met Patricia, the love of his life, while she worked for Amtrak—it was love at first sight! Clarence was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was crazy about his grandbaby, Mimi. Clarence loved sports and was an avid fan of Braves baseball and Atlanta Falcons football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jennie (Page) Johnson; brothers, an infant baby brother, Glenn Johnson and Wendell Johnson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 17 years, Patricia L. Johnson; daughter, Telena Johnson; brother, William Johnson (Azalia); sisters, Raymonda Jean Gaby and Hilda Garcia; the center of his world, his granddaughter, Mimi Dennis; school friend, Marvin Clark; special co-workers, Sgt. Dexter Reece and Savoya Lemon; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other family members and friends. He touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

Clarence will be laid to rest at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
