We remember David as a very polite and gentle person. I am proud to say he was my nephew! He will be missed by all who knew him!

So sorry for your loss of a great man. So glad he was loved so deeply by a great family. He deserved all goodness in life.

I only knew David for a short time while he worked for TEKsystems, but in that short time, he showed me a lot.  David was always a high communicator and was always extremely passionate about whatever he was doing.  He put detail and care into everything that he did.  I would always hear great stories about his family and it sounded like there was a lot of love.

I wish we all got to spend more time with David and I believe we all were fortunate to have known him.  Rest in peace David and my condolences go out to his family and friends.

David was someone whom we all could rely upon for anything at any time.  His gentle spirit was evident throughout his entire life.   He had such a giving mindset and put himself in other's shoes in order to help all situations.  

I will always remember David's smile and the gleam in his eyes during all the fun times we shared which began at USM.     His love for the Lord showed every day of his life.  He was all about unity and seeking God's will.  I remember an incident at church when a guest speaker asked the congregation who felt called of the Lord in ministry and David was one of the first people up.  He had a servant's heart.  

His life has left a deep impression in all of us.

We remember Dave as a gentle and kind  smart person. We remember him mostly as a kid because we lived so far away and didn't get to see him as an adult although Darlene and Dave's yearly newsletters kept us informed of happenings in their life. We are happy he found Darlene and had the grandchildren to enjoy life with.
We remember going to the pool at  Randolph AFB in San Antonio when he was only about 5 yrs old and Dave would love to jump into the pool so Uncle "Mote" could catch him. That nickname for Mort stuck long after he grew up. We visited him as a teenager in Shalimar several times and he visited us in Miami Lakes several times where he and all the kids went swimming  and boating in our lake. We remember when Dave and Gary played in a band in the Orange Bowl football stadium . I am attempting to add an old picture  from my Applegate album. I don't seem to be allowed to add more than one.
David will be missed by everyone who ever spent time with him.

We met David when he came to Christ for the Nation in Dallas Tx.. in 1980.  A wonderful young man. Loved Jesus and we claimed him as one of ours..  we were blessed.  We send love and prayers to his Darlene and girls and other family.

I met David in the late 1970's at USM.  

We were best men at each other's weddings.  

Becky and I and our family offer our deepest condolences to Darlene, the rest of the family, and close friends, many of whom we have known for a long time.

David will be dearly missed.  His Love for Jesus, Darlene, the rest of his family and friends are indelible marks David leaves with all of us.

To David's family I extend my heartfelt condolences. He was introduced to me as the keeper of the helpdesk. We shook hands, introduced ourselves, traded niceties and a few minutes later he was off and working on the project. Each morning I would walk by his cubicle, stop and ask him if he needed assistance. Most mornings he was on top of things and I'd keep going. A few mornings he needed help and I'd sit with him and we'd work on it together.  A couple of times he'd knock on my door and have a question or two and we'd discuss the issue and come to a solution. What I gathered during those meetings was that David was a kind hearted and very intelligent guy. He was quick to smile and would see the humor in things. We never talked about anything outside of work except one time I mentioned my grandchildren and he mentioned that he had grandchildren as well. I told him mine were the light of my life and he agreed. I walked by his desk this morning knowing that we'd never converse about helpdesk issues again.

I will miss him. I only knew him for a short while, but I liked him instantly and I will miss him. 

To his family, please know that many of his coworkers share your pain and loss, not to the extent that you do because your pain is forged out of years of togetherness as a family, shared joy, love, blood, sweat and tears. Ours is based on a short period of kindred spirts working towards a shared goal. No comparison except for the emptiness we share.

May God grant you peace during this tumultuous time.

We on the ICF CDC Laboratory Response Network (LRN) software team LOVED David's stories of his Grandchildren!!!    He had a great tail of the "Pretty Pretty Princess board game" and how the kids continued to play years after age and gender appropriate!   I loved hearing about the Disney World strategy planning, also!  I had so planned to tap into that knowledge.

I'll miss David very much as he was such a kind, caring, smart, dedicated person and employee.  Thanks to his family for sharing David with us at ICF.
