David Winstead Kearney

David Winstead Kearney of Douglasville, GA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 12, 2025. David was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather who dearly loved his entire family. A man who Loved the Lord, David was a kind-hearted person; a stranger to none and a friend to all whose path he crossed.

Born in Rocky Mt. North Carolina on September 29, 1945, David grew up in Louisburg, NC with his 12 brothers and sisters, his mother, Mildred, and father, Samuel. David is preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Kearney of Bunn, NC, sister, Sandra Hall, of Butner, NC, mother, Mildred and father, Samuel of Louisburg, NC. He is survived by his two sons, Antoine and Joseph Kearney of Atlanta, GA his grand-daughter, Bella Kearney of Douglasville, GA his sisters Francis White of Wake Forest, NC, Mavis Cash of Nashville, NC and Edith Jenkins of Jacksonville, FL, and many cousins, great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for David will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery-, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114. Following the committal service friends and family are invited to a celebration of life luncheon at Williamson Brothers Barbecue at 1600 Marietta Highway Canton, GA 30114
