Delena Seals Carroll

Delena Seals Carroll age 86 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 after a long hard battle with dementia. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Dallas, Georgia, the daughter of the late Jesse Guy Seals and Jewell Judkins Seals. Delena was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved taking care of her family. One of her greatest joys was taking care of her five grandchildren and her great-grandson, Will, from infancy through early school years. Delena loved caring for people and she always wanted to feed everyone who visited her home.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paul Carroll; daughters, Donna (Phillip) Harrington, Brenda Pickett, Karen (Tony) Lingefelt; grandchildren, Jamin (Ashley) Harrington, Lauren (Ryan) Fee, Craig (Sharon) Standridge, Brittany (Charley) Baldree and Labreeska (Derek) Rogers; great-grandchildren, Will Harrington, Caige Florence, Elijah Fee, Judah Fee, Ellie Fee, Samuel Fee, Josiah Standridge, Bradley Baldree, and soon to be Shelby Rogers; brother; Ralph Seals; brother in-law, Ron Carroll, sisters-in-law, Annette Parson and Estelle Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in law, Ramey Pickett; brothers and sisters, Ernest (Clide) Pruett, Nola (Robert) Seals, Guy (Dorothy) Seals, Dora Mae Quarles, Frank Seals and Eunice Cole; sister-in law, Thelma Seals; mother-in-law and father-in-law; John and Omar Carroll; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, John and Louise Carroll and Peck and Bobbie Carroll.

The family will receive friends at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Ikey Watson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville, Georgia.
