He was born in Orlando, Florida, on September 30, 1965, the son of the late Mr. Eddie Sorrows and Mrs. Carolyn White.
Doug's greatest joy was spending time with his family out in the woods or on the water, hunting and fishing together. His passion for the great outdoors was only matched by his love for his kids. He had an uncanny ability to bring laughter to any situation with his quick wit and infectious smile. Whether he was teaching someone how to bait a hook, riding his 4-wheeler, or sitting around a campfire sharing stories, Doug always made those around him feel welcomed and appreciated. His legacy will live on through the memories created during those cherished family outings filled with laughter, love, and the beauty of nature. Rest in peace, Doug - you'll be dearly missed but never forgotten.
In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Childress, and his niece, Halley Childress.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jaimie(Clinton Pritchett) Sorrows, Alexis (Marisella) Miller, and Travis Adams; brother Stacey Sorrows; sister Linda (Mark) Giles; nephews, Justin Childress, Josh Giles, Blake Sorrows, and Bryan Sorrows; nieces, Danielle Childress, Sarah Giles, Brittany Giles, Ashleigh Forrister, Brandi Brown, and Brandi Shirley; and many great nieces and nephews.
