Dudley Keith Wood, age 59, of Bowden, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020. He was born April 25, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia. He loved spending time with his family. A hard worker, provider for his family and a great father, Dudley wanted to watch his children grow up and be safe. He was very compassionate, an outgoing, stand-up guy, a good friend to all who knew him, and he stepped up for lots of “children”. Dudley shared everything he had—at least 50 cents out of every dollar. He was a member of the Teamsters Union for Truckers, a fan of Fox News, loved Trump and tried to rally everyone together. In his spare time, he rode Harley-Davidsons, was a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed the company of women, eating, and drinking a cold beer.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Leonard Roy and Joan Carolyn (Hanks) Wood, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Tasha Marie Wood (James) Whitaker of Hernando, Florida, Tina Marie Wood-Foshee (Richard) of Boca Raton, Florida, Christi R. (Jamie) Austin of Temple, Georgia, Hunter Roy Wood of Carrollton, Georgia and Alexis Marie Wood of Carrollton; siblings, Karen (Richard) Morris of Wilmer, Alabama, Roy Lee Wood of Bowden, Georgia and Carolyn Renee (Jerry) Austin of Bowden, Georgia; grandchildren, Jaiden, Tyler, Curtiscoy, Christina, Lela, Morgan, Trent, Emmalyn and Amelia; great-grandchildren, Pheonix and Ophelia; soulmate, Cassandra Wood-Scarbrough; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial bike ride, with cars welcome, is being planned for a later date.
