Mr. Earnest ‘Butch’ Charles Newborn, age 70, of Douglasville, GA passed away Friday, July 11, 2014. He was born July 29, 1943 in Douglasville, GA. Mr. Newborn was a self-employed carpenter and cabinet maker in the entire metro Atlanta area. He was an ordained Evangelist minister.
Mr. Newborn was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mary Hoslon Newborn.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Newborn; son, Mark Newborn; daughters, Tammy Smith and Amanda Newborn; grandchildren, Joshua Wade Newborn, David Daniel Smith II, Cassie Renee Smith, Noah Ryan Abri Newborn and Ann Lee DeBois; ten great-grandchildren; eight brothers, four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 2:30 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Michael Clinton officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park, 4614 Hiram-Douglasville Highway, Hiram, GA 30141.
