Ms. Elizabeth “Jane” Ferguson, age 64, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. Jane worked as a nurse for WellStar Cobb in the Cardiac Cath Lab. She began her career at Garden Terrace as a nursing aide, then worked at Parkway Medical Center as an ICU Critical Care Nurse, then moving into the Cardiac Cath Lab until retirement. Jane was a surrogate to many children, enjoyed planting flowers and maintaining her yard. Jane was an avid reader, and a fan of John Grisham.
Preceding her in death were her father, Roy Winton Pate, Sr.; her birth mother, Gladys Hembree Pate; brother, Wayne Russell Pate; and her ex-husband, William Rayford Ferguson III.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Pate; children, Jeremy Adam Ferguson and Amanda Bette Ferguson; her step-son, William (Veronica) Rayford Ferguson IV; brothers, Roy Winton Pate, Jr. and Michael Norman; sister, Sandra Horton; two grandchildren, Shania Marie (Jordan) Webb and Baillie Shi-Anne Ferguson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel.
