

Emmett James Ashe III, age 67, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, May 17, 2021. He was born January 23, 1954 in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Emmett spent most of his childhood in Boston and Pennsylvania. A hard worker, Emmett never took a day off and never needed an alarm clock to get up. He led a rewarding life in which he made many accomplishments. Emmett retired from Construction Resources in Atlanta in the Spring of 2020. A skilled wood worker, he expressed creativity by making home furniture, boats, and walking sticks. He worked in the “Little Shop on The Prairie” and owned his own countertop business. Emmett was a content, humble and modest man, always thinking of others first, never complaining, and was extremely outgoing. He was so proud of his family and his Irish heritage. He was always attending his son’s talent events as well as his friends drafting events. Emmett had a great love for nature and was the founder of Refuge Outdoors..
Preceding him in death were his parents, Emmett James Ashe II and his mother, Ann Pope Ashe; and sister-in-law, Katherine Ashe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Linda Marie (Manske) Ashe; son, Emmett James Ashe IV; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Ashe and Kevin Ashe (Judy); three sisters, Shelagn Plant (Bill), Eileen Scullin (Tim), sister-in-law, Theresa Endler (Fred); and aunt, Marie Ashe.
The family received friends at the funeral home for a memorial visitation on Friday, May 21, 2021from 6:00 PM until 8:00.
