Mrs. Era Buttrill Barnett, age 80, of Douglasville, GA passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014. She was born January 31, 1934 in Riverdale, GA. Mrs. Barnett was a strong, devout Christian who loved spending time with her family, enjoyed playing the piano, bird watching and fishing. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her parents, Brown O. and Cleo Cook Buttrill.
She is survived by her husband, Tyndol Barnett; sons, Tyndol Maurice Barnett and James Morris Barnett; daughters, Era Jeanice Barnett and Vera Janice Albertson; brothers, Gene Buttrill and Warren Buttrill; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church with Reverend Steve McFall and Vernon Thornton officiating.
