Mr. Eric Anthony “Ricky” Green, age 61, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica on September 4, 1960. Ricky was passionate and driven about his dreams – no one could stop him from accessing the things he truly wanted in life. He was confident and it showed in the way he carried himself; with his head held high. He loved his wife more than anything on earth and was strongly devoted to her and the love and life they shared. Ricky was a huge fan of professional wrestling. He loved watching the WWE programs: RAW, Smackdown, etc. Ricky was a creative man that could turn nothing into something. He was extremely competitive, making everything a competition. As a result, he always found a way to beat the odds every time. Ricky was a dedicated business man, he owned and operated a restaurant called Samarvi’s Caribbean Cuisine (which he named after his three children: Samantha, Mark, and Vivette). With him running the restaurant by himself, Ricky would manage to earn a phenomenal score of a 100% on every Food Safety Inspection.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rosaline (Morris) Green.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Esperanza Green; his children, Anjuli Hernandez, Eric Anthony Green, Jr., Samantha Gaye and beloved son-in-law, Pa Gaye, Mark Anthony, and Vivette Green; his sisters, Doreth Fraser and Vivette Pearce; brother-in-law, Elleston Pearce; and one grandbaby on the way.
The family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11 AM in the Rosehaven chapel.
