Gloria Jean Smart, age 63, of Douglasville, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. A devoted member of Saint Teresa Catholic Church in Douglasville, she lived her life with quiet strength and grace.
She was a reserved and private person, yet those who knew her best cherished her gentle presence and her thoughtful nature. She enjoyed spending time watching YouTube videos, and some of her happiest moments were shared with her late son, Deshawn, on peaceful nature walks together.
She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness and quiet spirit.
Gloria is survived by her sister, Donna Grant; as well as several nieces and nephews including her caregiver, Christopher as well as special friends, the Zuigi family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings and her son, Deshawn Moyo.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Whitley Garner Funeral Home Monday, September 22 at 11:00 am. Mausoleum entombment will immediately follow the funeral service at Rosehaven Cemetery.
