A longtime resident of Douglasville, Greg dedicated more than 33 years of service to Southern Bell/Bell South, where he was responsible for payphones all over North Georgia. Known for his strong work ethic and remarkable technical abilities with everything from phones to computers, he had a natural talent for understanding technology.
Greg was a man of many talents and passions. As a gifted musician, he played guitar with the band Fate, performing at Fulton County Stadium and creating memories that he cherished forever. His creative spirit also found expression through art and darkroom photography, where he enjoyed capturing the beauty of everyday moments. Greg was also a tremendous athlete.
His greatest joy was his family. Greg treasured every opportunity to coach his children's soccer, softball, and baseball teams. He loved nothing more than spending time with them, especially playing football in the yard, jumping on the trampoline, playing music, and breakfast early enough every Saturday morning to watch the sunrise afterwards. He was a devoted family man whose love, guidance, and encouragement shaped the lives of those closest to him, including those for whom he was a second father.
Greg had a deep love for animals and found happiness in their companionship. He was a devout Christian. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding him with kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God and those he loved.
He will be remembered for his creativity, musical talent, technical skill, generous heart, steadfast faith, and the love he poured into his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and in the cherished memories shared by all who knew him.
