

Helen Dixon Hall age 87, of Douglasville passed away Wednesday, October 22. She was a devoted minister’s wife for over 64 years and a faithful member of Central Baptist Church for over 20 years. At Central she shared her love of Scripture and learning as a Sunday School teacher. As a dedicated educator, she taught literature for more than 30 years in Bibb and Randolph Counties, inspiring generations of students with her passion for words and wisdom.
She and her husband, Lee Roy shared a godly love story seldom seen anymore. It was marked by faith, devotion, and true companionship. They cared for one another deeply and did everything together, setting a beautiful example of love for their younger generations.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, spending days at the beach, and taking weekend getaways with family and friends. Her kindness, gentle humor, and faith touched all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Helen is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Hall; daughters, Suelyn Floyd and Kathy Morgan; sister, Suzanne (Stacey) Cotton; grandchildren, Betsy (Brandon) Thomas, Ladd (Becca) Morgan and Austin (Katelyn) Morgan; great grandchildren, Sawyer Morgan, Lanier Morgan, Liam Thomas, Jacob Thomas (and another great grandchild on the way) sister-in-law, Lynn Land and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Dixon.
The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner Funeral Home Saturday, October 25 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral services officiated by Rev. Charles Gibbs in the funeral home chapel at 12:00. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Cemetery.
