Mr. James Tyndol Barnett, age 84, of Douglasville, GA passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was born January 1, 1930 in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Barnett was a mechanic with Delta Airlines for 30 years. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA. Tyndol enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a loving father and husband.
Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his wife Era Barnett and parents, Tyndol and Snowdell Barnett.
Mr. Barnett is survived by his sons, Morris Barnett of Lawrenceville, GA and Maurice (Diane) Barnett of Hiram, GA; daughters Janice (Jerry) Albertson of Douglasville, GA and Jeanice Barnett of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters Abba Jane Trimble of Riverdale, GA, June West of Atlanta, GA, Julie Ann Byrom of Jackson, GA as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating.
