

He was born October 3rd, 1940 in Atlanta Georgia to the late Belvie C. Haygood and Nellie Tipton Haygood. Also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife Dale Haygood, son Derek (Stacy) Haygood, stepdaughter Robin (Mike) Camp, granddaughters Montana (Patrick) O’Reilly, Maggie (Tim) Mulhern, grandsons Ryan (Brittany) Camp, Jonathan (Casee) Camp, Stephen (Lauren) Camp, Andrew (Courtney) Camp, nineteen great grandchildren, sister in law Peggy Haygood, nieces and nephews.
He retired from The City of Atlanta, where he was a Code Enforcement supervisor in the Housing Division. In 1983 he became a Mason and was the Worshipful Master in 1991 in Battle Hill Masonic Lodge #523. Since 1984 he was a member of the Shriners and a Past President in 1999 of the Sweetwater Shrine Club. He was very proud of these accomplishments.
After retirement he pursued his passion for playing golf with friends at West Pines Golf Club. He went on many local hunting trips with his brother, BC Haygood and enjoyed the challenge of bow hunting.
