Mr. James Andrew “Andy” Wear, age 54, of Rome, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016. He was born November 26, 1961 in Ft. Payne, Alabama. Mr. Wear or “Wear Bear” as known by his students, enjoyed being outdoors, loved reading and enjoyed teaching history and government. Always seeing the good in people, he enjoyed their company and loved having the privilege to mentor others to reach their goals.
Mr. Wear was preceded in death by his father, John Campbell Wear.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Kassars Wear; sons, Drew Wear, Carty Wear, Robert Fields and Jonathan Fields; daughters, Kelly Wear, Livvy Wear and Jenifer Ketterer; mother, Martha Horton Wear; brother, David Wear; sisters, Mary Schlosser and Claudia Law; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews as well as other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Dallas, GA.
