Jimmy Jones

Jimmy retired after more than 25 years of dedicated service as a mechanic with the New York City Transit Authority, where he was known for his skill, reliability, and strong work ethic. As a natural tinkerer, he had a lifelong talent for fixing things and took great pride in working with his hands.

Above all, he was devoted to his family and found great joy in spending time with loved ones. His presence, practical wisdom, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for family.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mrs. Laura Jones; children, Jerry Jones and his wife, Darcy, Audrey Walker and her husband, Jeff and Robert Jones and his wife, Mandy; sisters, Hyacinth Jones and Dorothy Jones; grandchildren, Daniel Jones, Rebecca Jones, Matthew Walker, Lindsay Walker, Daniel Walker, Leyton Jones, Lauren Jones, Delaney Jones, Carter Jones and Finley Jones and great grandson, Austin Jones. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Jones, Douglas Jones and Colville Jones.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Whitley Garner Funeral Home Saturday, April 25 at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
