

JoAnn grew up in Douglasville with her older brother, Johnny, and her younger sister, Pat, and graduated from Douglas County High School in 1966. JoAnn was married for 52 years and had two children, Tony, born in 1968, and Lisa, born in 1973. JoAnn was a homemaker most of her life, caring for her family and household. She was a sweet, soft-spoken, southern lady who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, gardening, baking, and collecting antiques and cookbooks. She loved traveling to historic southern towns and Appalachian mountain towns, collecting locally sourced crafts, books, and foods from each place, and often bringing home gifts of homemade baked goods and local crafts for friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Tony Mahaffey (Debbie) and Lisa Bell (Tim); grandchildren, Ty Mahaffey, Aiden Mahaffey, Savannah Bosch (Anthony), Scout Bell, Slate Bell, Saylor Bell, Henry Winston Briggs and Harrison Briggs; great-grandchild, Azelie Mae Bosch, sister, Pat Brady (Ray), sister-in-law, Lydia Moore and special friends, Margaret Davis and Linda Tutterow.
In addition to her parents, Henry Lawrence Moore and Lois Faye Evans, JoAnn is preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Ray Moore. JoAnn leaves behind numerous other family members and friends.
