Joan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She adored being able to watch her granddaughters perform gymnastics or anything else they were involved in. A devout Christian, she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and sang in the choir. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed spending time with her fur baby, Princess, and her friends at the Senior Village. Her family was the most important part of her life and she enjoyed her time with them, whether it was going out to eat or vacationing.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Richard Nations, and her parents, Jack and Jackie Marbut.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Misti (Dave) Cutler and Holly (Jared) Shepherd; siblings, Steve Marbut, Terry (Vickie) Marbut, and Jennie (Jim) Clark; her grandchildren, Rylee Shepherd, Isabelle Cutler, Addie Shepherd, and Abigail Cutler; as well as many nieces and nephews.
