Mr. Johnnie Buckland, age 84, of Lithia Springs passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Mr. Buckland loved cars and jewelry. He was a long-time resident of Douglasville, having lived here for over 50 years. Johnnie was also the owner of Abuck Asphalt Paving. He began paving in 1952 making GA 53 into Atlanta. Johnnie was a very giving and loving person and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. Buckland is preceded in death by his parents, Mosey and Priscilla Buckland.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife Dorothy Small Buckland; sons Nelson and Rodney Buckland; sister Mary Buckland; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and numerous other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5 until 9 pm and Friday, December 4, 2015 from 1 until 9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Rosehaven Chapel on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
