

Mrs. Joyce Marie Goodwin, age 85, of Carrollton, Georgia, formerly of McDonough, Georgia, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Avon Park, Florida. Mrs. Goodwin was formerly employed by Lockheed Martin, and in her later years worked taking care of babies at Little Ones Daycare. She loved babies and she loved her family; she was known for having her house covered in photos of her beloved babies and grandbabies and she greatly enjoyed receiving them. She adored her little dogs, especially her puppy, Precious Baby. Mrs. Goodwin’s heart was full of love for her family and for the Lord. Her beautiful soul touched everyone who met and had the pleasure of knowing her. Joyce Goodwin was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Lee Goodwin, Jr.; her parents, Lawrence and Jewel Elizabeth Howell; a daughter, Judy Margaret Toole; a son, Richard Daniel Lord; two brothers, Wallace Howell and Eddie Howell; two sisters, Alice Howell and Shirley Cooper; a niece, Susan Suttles; and her dogs, Keisha Marie and King Casey. She is survived by sons, Theodore “Ted” Lawrence Lord and wife, Christy, and Warren Lee Goodwin III and fiancée, Brenda Woods; daughters, Janice Marie Hollan and husband, Paul, Jerrie Alice Purvis and husband, Kirk, and Eva Jamille “Jamie” Lambert and husband, David; a brother, Terry Burns and wife, Margie; a brother-in-law, Charles Cooper and wife Linda; nephews, Frank Cooper and Johnny Cooper and wife, Marche; 14 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Rosehaven Chapel.
