
She was born in Findlay, Ohio, on June 21, 1952, the daughter of the late Mr. Earl Roether and Mrs. Edna Rose Haley Roether.
Julia's passion for life and her community was truly remarkable. She devoted her time and energy to her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. Her love for learning and reading was evident throughout her life, as she was always exploring new ideas and sharing them with those around her.
Julia's commitment to her community was unwavering. As an active organizer, she played a pivotal role in various events, from public school functions to Boy Scouts and The Campfire Girls activities, and worked tirelessly in her neighborhood HOA. Her organizational skills were unparalleled, and she loved creating events that brought people together.
For 23 years, Julia inspired countless young minds as a preschool teacher, instilling a love for learning that would last a lifetime in her students. Her heart was as big as her dedication to helping others, and her legacy will forever live on in the lives of all those she touched.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lee.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bruce Deppen; daughter, Adrianna (Kevin) Whipple; sons, Jacob(Bhakti) Deppen and Grant (Lindsey) Deppen; grandchildren, Claire, Isabelle, Nikhil, and Niam; and 3 brothers and 5 Sisters.
In keeping with Mrs. Julia’s wishes, she will be cremated.
