Kevin Lamar Allen

Born in Douglasville, Georgia, on August 4, 1964, Kevin Lamar Allen was the beloved son of Johnny Frederick Allen, Sr. and Delores Burdette. He passed away October 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Katherine Brewer.

Kevin is survived by his loving children: daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Allen and Gerald Sherrer; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Allen and Shelby Tucker, Alexander Allen and Priscilla Allen. He was a proud grandfather to Colton Allen, Zayden Sherrer, Greyson Allen, Baylie Allen, Emmalin Sherrer, and Morgan Allen. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Frederick Allen, Jr. and Tammy Allen, and his sister, Delisa Allen.

Known by those close to him as a “sweet soul” and a “go with the flow” kind of guy, Kevin brought calm and kindness into every room he entered. In his earlier years, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—camping, fishing, and especially cooking, with his pork loin being a family favorite. A true outdoorsman and an avid sports fan regardless of the game; he embraced every moment of life with enthusiasm.

His love for his family was the cornerstone of his world. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy. And, of course, he had a special place in his heart for his beloved GMC Canyon truck.

Kevin Lamar Allen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on November 2, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1 pm. His Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m.
