Rita was very active in community outreach in the Douglasville area. She was an avid baker, known for her pound cake. Additionally, she found joy in crafting and creating a variety of items. With an eye for all things sparkly and pink, she was the queen of finding life's "bougie" treasures. Rita also loved the beach, especially Fort Lauderdale.
She is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Marshall and brother, John Marshall.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dave; children, Alex and Alicia (Jarrod); mother, Cherry; siblings, Dana, Steve, and Lisa; grandchildren, Bella, Gwyn, and Violet; fur-babies, Annie and Moe; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a memorial visitation on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
