

Michael was born in Morton, Minnesota on September 2, 1953, the son of the late Dorothea Scheffler Paul and the late George H. Paul. He had worked as owner/operator of an electrostatic paint company for a number of years. Michael enjoyed NASCAR, football and fishing. Chase Elliott, car #9 was always his favorite on the racetrack. His favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons. Michael was a Veteran, having proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Michael was invited to join a patriotic organization, an honor society, known as the Forty and Eight. He was able to travel around the country working with charitable organizations and promoting the well-being of Veterans. Michael loved helping others and went out of his way to show kindness. He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Mullins Paul of twenty-eight years, stepmother, Frances Mullins, sister, Beryl Wernberg, nieces, Char Blashill, Crystal Jensen, Jennifer McClane, Blanca and Marlen Burrows and sister-in-law, Pailin Paul; sister-in-law, Lynda Burrows Roberts; and brother-in-law, Clement Roberts.
In addition to his parents, George H. and Dorothea Paul, he is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, his brother, George W. Paul, father-in-law, Grady Mullins, mother-in-law, Grace Mullins, sisters-in-law, Janice Hardin, Carol Hull, Debra Diane Mullins, his niece, Valerie Hardin and brother-in-law, Roy Burrows.
The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven on January 25, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the inurnment to follow in the Rosehaven Cemetery.
