Janelle Allen, age 84, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021. She was born February 21, 1937 in Lowerytown, Georgia. A devoted wife, and loving mother, sister and grandmother, family was #1 in Janelle’s life. Janelle was a Godly woman, living her life in accordance with the Proverbs 31 woman. She was faithful in her attendance at Fair Haven Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed joyriding with family and friends, and watching Family Feud, Judge Judy and Little House on the Prairie on TV.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, James Allen; her parents, John and Minnie (McWhorter) Harris; daughters, Denise Tyson, Janis Hulsey; son, Charles Allen; grandson, Nathan Allen; and brother, John Harris.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Susan Morgan (Leon) and Lynn Allen; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service for the family is planned and Janelle will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Due to Covid, the family will plan a public service for Janelle in the future.
