Norman was married to Vida Johnson. With this union they brought together two sons and four daughters from previous marriages.
Norman professed hope, faith, and belief in Christ at an early age and joined Second Baptist Church. He attended school in San Antonio, TX.
Norman was a Baker before he went into the US Army. He served our country for over twenty-five years until he retired. From there he served at Prince George’s County Health Department in Maryland until he retired once again. After double retirement, he resided in Douglasville, GA.
Norman was proceeded in death by his parents Mr. Nathan Johnson and Mrs. Geraldine Canada; son Norman (Jerry); daughter Monica; sisters Rhonda and Karen.
On January 12, 2022; at Wellstar Douglas Hospital; 1SG Norman E. Johnson quietly and peacefully went home to Jehovah God.
Norman leaves to cherish his memory wife Vida Johnson; daughters Patti Lynn, Vicci (Lynn), and Nicole (James); son Marc; sisters Daphne, and Denise; brothers Durelle (Rosalyn), and Kevin (Barbara); grandchildren Kristini Nicole, Troy, Bianca, Cory, Nicole, Christopher, Xavier, Ethan, Shana, Marcus, Kadaesha, Tyler, Jaden, Jai, Jordan, and Marc Jr; great grandchildren Elijah, Damarcus, Lance, Monica, Makenzie, Miya, Melissa, Camden, Maxton, Roen, Nathaniel, Jeminiz, Jeminye, Leon, Katarina, Egypt, Kairo, and Sarai; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
