Patricia loved the beach. It was on one of the many trips she took to take in the magic of the ocean that she met the love of her life, an Airman named Kenneth Edward Coxwell. She dedicated her future to Kenneth and the country on December 23, 1978 when they were married in Lynn, MA.
As a dedicated military spouse, she traveled the world with her husband leaving Jacksonville where Kenneth was serving and happily headed to Nevada to make a new home for them. After Nevada, the family of two called Illinois home. It was in Illinois that Patricia added another title to her name, devoted mother. She and Kenneth had two children, Daniel in 1989 and Caitlin in 1992. She adored being a mother and dedicated all of her time to ensuring that her family was cared for. Patricia made every move with the military as seamless as possible for her family for the next 16 years.
After retirement, Kenneth and Patricia made their way back to the beaches that she loved, Panama City. After a few years, the couple became residents of Douglasville, GA where Kenneth had accepted a job.
Patricia became a grandmother and it was in that role that she felt complete. She could be found taking goofy pictures with her grandchildren in the photo booths at the mall or singing children songs at the top of her lungs, just to hear them laugh.
She will always be remembered as a strong woman with little to no filter that said what she meant and meant what she said.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Kenneth Edward Coxwell; her son Daniel Coxwell; and her daughter Caitlin Coxwell; her mother Dorothy Hoyt; her sisters Kathleen Mulhall (Bernard), F. Jane Hoyt, Dorothy Adams, Nancy Kappeller (George), and Sharon Hamel; her brothers William Hoyt (Wendy), John Hoyt (Janet), and Robert Hoyt (Shannon); her granddaughters Emma Morrison, Aubree Morrison and Lily Nault.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father John Hoyt, her parents in law Daniel (DC) Coxwell (Sara) and her brother in law Bernard Mulhall.
