Patricia Joyce Griffin

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Griffin (77) announces her passing. She died on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice at Cobb in Austell, GA. Pat will be lovingly remembered by Larry, her husband of 25 years, and their children, Angie (Bynum), Pam (Mike), Laurie (Bob), and Meghan. Pat will also be remembered by her eight grandchildren, Todd, Hannah, Alex, Hannah, Sarah, Jenn, Laura, and Summer and by her great grand-children Jade, Aimee, Emilie, Abbie, Aleighia and Gavin. She was preceded in death by her daughter Robyn and son-in-law George.

Pat taught school for over 30 years and touched the lives of many students throughout the North and Southeast. After retiring from teaching, she moved into the printing industry and will lovingly be remembered as Letterflex Patty for her role of parts coordinator for over many years.

Although she had an enormous family of her own, Pat’s heart knew no bounds and over the years the sons, daughters, and grandchildren of her heart far outnumbered those in her immediate family. Pat loved to cook and could often be found making a meal for a neighbor or friend.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 4pm on Saturday, February 10th at 160 Manchester Lane, Villa Rica, GA 30180. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift in memory of Pat to: Wellstar Community Hospice, c/o Tranquility of Cobb 4040 Hospital W. Drive, Austell, GA 30106.
