Patricia Lena Hunnicutt, age 83, of Mableton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022. She was born December 23, 1938 at their home on Main Street in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the 6th child of the late Annie Lee (Williams) and Albert Barton. Patricia grew up in the Riverside area of Atlanta and graduated from West Fulton High School. She worked as a medical receptionist for many years. Patricia loved gardening and the outdoors. She was blessed with and adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years, Robert H. Hunnicutt; siblings, Fred Barton, Frances Stansell, Lamar Barton, and Merle Norton; and brothers-in-law, Bob Stansell, Dick Norton and Jack Gilman.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Vincent (Valerie) Smith, Scott Smith, Pam Hunnicutt and Phil (Beth) Hunnicutt; sister, Janelle Gilman; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service is planned for Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, 11261 Veterans Memorial Highway, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Pastor Jim Conrad from Towneview Baptist Church will be officiating.
