Peggy Doggrell

Peggy lived a life centered on family, community, and creativity. She especially enjoyed word search puzzles, playing bingo, and card games, activities that brought her joy and a connection with others. She was well known for generously sharing her baking, sewing, and catering skills with her family and friends.

When her children were younger, she was deeply involved with the PTA, giving her time and energy to support their education and school community. Her dedication, warmth, and steady presence will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Peggy leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to comfort her loved ones. She is survived by her children, Teresa and Billy Kelley of Piedmont, AL, Garrell and Linda Doggrell of Douglasville, GA and Michelle and Toby Wilson of Midlothian, TX and grandchildren, Scott, Roy, Blake, Bobby, Ivey and Lacey.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Bobby Doggrell.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 4 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm EST at Whitley Garner Funeral Home. A service to honor Peggy’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 pm EST. Interment will follow Anniston Memorial Gardens 4000 US-431, Anniston, AL 36206 at 3:00 pm EST.
