Phyllis Ann Smith, age 74, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was born January 10, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia. Phyllis was a “pistol” – known for her great sense of humor, she was feisty, opinionated and had a good heart. She loved her career as a logistics specialist, but at the end of the day, she loved to come home and be with her family. Phyllis was an animal lover and provided homes for abandoned cats as well as various other animals. In her spare time, Phyllis was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening – she could grow anything.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Vaughn and Katheryn (Flemming) Sams; a brother, Mike Sams; sisters, Paula Sams and Renee Sams; and son-in-law, Stephen Vaughn.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dennis Smith; her children, Christopher Bienvenu and fiancée, Starla Raiborn, Kathy Vaughn, Kimberly (Nathan) Johnson, and Kevin (Patima “Mew”) Smith; her twin sister, Patricia “Trish” (Steve) Davis; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
