On May 21, 2026, Pilah peacefully took flight to her heavenly home after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Pilah was a bright light whose gentle spirit and loving heart touched everyone blessed to know her. During her early years, while under the loving care of her maternal grandmother, Margarette Currie Moore, and great-aunt Ida C. Hodges, she attended Hanley Elementary School in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1999, Pilah moved to Georgia and continued her education at Sweetwater Elementary School. She later attended Garrett Middle School and graduated from Lithia Springs High School in 2010.
After graduation, Pilah attended New Directions in Douglasville, Georgia, where she found joy and purpose among her peers. She participated in many community activities throughout the Cobb and Douglas County areas. Serving others brought Pilah great happiness, especially helping feed the hungry. She truly had a heart for people and always wanted to help in any way she could.
Pilah was known for her love of Minnie Mouse, dancing, fashion, and shopping adventures. She could often be found happily spending time with her mother and sister, trying on new outfits and handbags. She carried herself with a sweetness, grace, and joy that made every moment with her special. She most definitely loved smiling for the camera.
The family will receive friends, Friday, May 29 at Whitley Garner Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30 at Chapel Hill Church Atlanta at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park in Douglasville.
