Polly Reid

Polly was born in Jackson, Mississippi on January 6, 1939 the daughter of the late Floyd Mitchell and Maudie Mitchell. She had a great love of people and made many friends during her forty plus years of owning and operating Groucho’s and Topps Bar and Grill. Polly was passionate about her charity work to benefit children and she made Christmastime very special for many children.

She is survived by son, Jerry Green (Robin), grandsons, Jesse Green, Alex Green, brother, Floyd Mitchell, Jr., a host of nieces, nephews along with many treasured friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Reid, sisters, Ped Craft, Betty Brewer and Joann Broussard.

The family will receive friends at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m for a memorial visitation.
