Pramodray Pravinchandra Thaker

On June 3, 1953, a remarkable journey began, and on November 4, 2023, it reached its bittersweet end. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband and devoted father, Pramodray Pravinchandra Thaker, who entered this world in Aden, Yemen. His parents, the late Pravinchandra Thaker and late Pushpa Thaker, hailed from Dhari, India. Pramodray was the eldest among six siblings.

In March 1978, he embarked on a lifelong partnership with Sonal Pramodray Thaker, originally from Bhavnagar, India. Their love knew no boundaries as they journeyed from the UK in October 1983 to the USA in October 1993.

The unwelcome visitor, rapidly onset small cell lung cancer, claimed his life.

Pramodray was a towering presence of his era, a visionary who steered his family through the challenges of business and life. In his youth, he conquered mountains as an avid hiker and rock climber. Throughout his life, he was known for his unwavering vision, sage advice, eternal optimism, and his role as a steadfast husband. In his later years, he discovered solace and joy in the laughter of his cherished grandchildren.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his dedicated wife, Sonal, and his loving children, Siddhartha and Priya. The next generation carries his spirit forward, with grandchildren Ameya, Nalin, Zayn, and Zara.

The family will receive guests Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm with a ceremony following. Per his wishes, Mr. Thaker will be privately cremated at a later time.
