

Dr. Ray M. Camp, Sr.,DDS, age 69, local Douglasville dentist, died on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Dr. Camp was born on June 29, 1946, in Cordele, Georgia, the son of Raymond & Johnnie Ruth Cason Camp. Following his graduation from Douglas County High School, Dr. Camp studied at University of Georgia School of Pharmacy and graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental School. Since 1976, he served the residents of Douglas County and surrounding areas with his practice in Douglasville. He was very active in the Georgia Dental Association and American Dental Associations and Northwestern District Dental Society serving in many leadership positions. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Malone Camp and his wife, Christy of Westlake Village, CA. One brother, Ronnie Camp, of Douglasville. Two grandsons, Max Camp and Colin Camp both of CA. Funeral services for Dr. Camp will be conducted on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the Rosehaven Chapel of Whitley-Garner Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Rosehaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of the service.
