Mr. Rex Marion Little, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020. A native of Douglas County, Rex was born February 9, 1950 in Douglasville. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country for two tours in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He continued supporting Vietnam Veterans throughout his life by making Vietnam War key chains reflecting the Vietnam Ribbon and POW/MIA emblems and giving these out at the Veterans Administration. His family was everything to him. Rex loved bringing his Mother a “surprise” every single day. He was always checking in on those closest to him, especially his nieces, as he was concerned for their safety on the road. Rex believed that helping others was more important than money and lived his life hoping to make a difference in this world. He often paid for strangers’ groceries and gifted teachers $100 at a time for classroom supplies for students. While known to be stubborn, he was extremely funny, was adventurous, enjoying camping and loving to travel.
Mr. Little was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Morris Little; his father, Jessie “Junior” Little; and a brother-in-law, Pete Kelsoe.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Faye Humphries; two sons, Travis (Lisa) Little and Justin Little; a daughter, Tracey Tucker; brother, Richard Little; two sisters, Brenda A. Kelsoe and Deborah Ruth (Dwight) Meadows; two nieces, Brandi (Jon) Walton and Jessica (Brandon) Belli; many beloved grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special great-niece and great-nephew, Savannah Walton and Micah Cook.
In accordance with the COVID-19 directives, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
