He was born February 7, 1940 in Manhattan, New York City, and was the son of the late Millicent and Leo Hook.
He was the beloved husband of Susan Oliva Hook, loving father to Christopher Hook, brother to William and Thomas Hook.
He was a member of Saint Julian’s Episcopal Church in Douglasville Georgia.
He was a jack of all trades and, literally, a master of all. He was a successful artist and art studio owner - highly proficient in a multitude of skill sets such as drawing and painting as well as woodworking, metalworking and auto mechanics. His passions were hangliding, fishing, youth mentoring and above all being a positive influence on everyone with whom he crossed paths.
The many facets of his myriad talents are too many to list, but above all he was the epitome of love and always was first in line to lend a helping hand and offer sage advice.
Although Bob‘s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. His memory is a blessing and we will try to continue his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
There will be a memorial service at Saint Julian’s Episcopal Church on January 31, 2026 at 1 PM at 5400 Stewart Mill Rd. Douglasville, GA 30135.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Whitley Garner at Rosehaven is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements of Mr. Robert Peter Hook.
