Robert Malone Richardson, Jr., age 75, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Rob was born December 5, 1946 at Crawford W. Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a 1965 graduate of Douglas County High School. Rob proudly served his country from 1965-1968 as a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Donna Allums in 1969 and their only child, Lori Victoria, was born in 1970. Rob graduated from Southern Poly Technical Institute with an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Western Electric and then Lucent from 1970 until his retirement in 2000. After retirement, Rob moved to Villa Rica and enjoyed life on the lake. In his spare time, his hobbies included bottle digging, arrowhead collecting and stamp collecting. He was an animal lover and had numerous pets throughout his life. Rob attended Pleasant Grove Church.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Donna Allums Richardson; mother, Annie Kate Richardson; father, Robert M. Richardson Sr.; and sisters, Mary Louise Yancey and Edna Rose Richardson.
Those left to cherish his memory are daughter, Lori Victoria Richardson; grandson, Phoenix Richardson; sister, Joanna Wilson (Fred); nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his dog, Herman.
A celebration of life service for Robert will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home, 8640 Rose Ave, Douglasville, Georgia 30134, with Dr. Joe K. Tanner officiating.
