
Mr. Robert Lynn Stoskopf, age 67, of Lithia Springs, GA passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014. He was born November 24, 1946 in Kansas City. Mr. Stoskopf was a professional violist who received his Master’s degree in Music Education at Georgia State University. He was the orchestra director and string teacher in several metro counties in Georgia as well as in schools in Kansas, Iowa, Texas, and North Carolina. He was recognized for his excellent orchestras in each of these communities. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Stoskopf was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Bonnie Jean Miller Stoskopf.
Survivors include his children, Bobby Stoskopf of Atlanta, GA and Rebecca Cahill (Josh) of Milton, GA; two grandchildren, Zachery and Liam Cahill; his stepmother, Viola Stoskopf of Lenexa, KS; sister, Julie Larson (Mike) of Evergreen, CO; niece, Jessica Larson; nephew, Scott Larson (Lauren); his aunt, Mary Stoskopf of Westwood, KS; and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Benedict's Episcopal Church, 2160 Cooper Lake Rd, Smyrna, GA.
