Mr. Robert Kenneth Vollrath, Sr., age 73, of Carrollton, GA passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019. He was born November 9, 1945 in Smyrna, GA. Mr. Vollrath was well known as “Honeybun” and the “Transmission Man”. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved his dogs. His favorite pastime however, was spending time with the neighborhood children and his family.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Alton Guy and Florence Adele Vollrath; brothers, Jerry Vollrath and Ronald Vollrath as well as grandchildren, Devin Banks and Christopher Cochran.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 53 years, Anita Vollrath; son, Robert Vollrath, Jr.; daughters, Sandy (Tony) Evans and Charity (Matt) Brown; brothers, Wesley Ray Vollrath and Alton Guy Vollrath, Jr.; grandchildren, David Brown, Heather Brown, Hope Nelson, Caitlin Glover, Christopher Cochran, Devin Banks, Julius Johnson, Emily Johnson, Kendall Woods and Cody Evans; great-grandchildren, Addi Cochran, Silas Cochran, Braxton Banks, Drew Nelson, Henley Nelson and Harrison Brown; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members as well as all the neighborhood children.
The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 4 o’clock pm in the Rosehaven Chapel.
