

Ruben Doyle Brown was born on September 6th, 1938 to Ulous and Ethel Brown in Cobb County, Georgia. Doyle, as he liked to be called, passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2021, at the age of 82, in Marietta, Georgia. Doyle is survived by his 3 sons, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Doyle joined the Army in 1956 and proudly served his country as a marksman and artilleryman until his honorable discharge in 1959. After leaving the Army, he met the love of his life Goldie Marie and they married on January 16th 1965. Together they shared a wonderful life and raised 3 sons, Donnie, Terry and Charles. Doyle worked as a machinist for around 50 years in Georgia as well as Florida. Doyle was an ordained minister and served as a deacon at his church in West Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Doyle loved to serve the Lord and take care of his family. He spent most summers spoiling his grandchildren. Doyle was a kind and gentle soul. To know him was to love him. Doyle never met a stranger and would not hesitate to help anyone in need. He had many great stories and jokes that he loved to share. Doyle loved big and was loved by all who knew him even bigger. Doyle will be truly missed and those who were fortunate enough to know him will hold onto and cherish all the fond memories that were shared with him. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, February 1st, 2021 at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Georgia with Rev. Jackie Sanders.
