Sandra Phillips Rollins departed this life Saturday, November 4, 2023. Sandra was born to Daniel Andrew Phillips “Paps” and Myra Lucille Phillips on February 7, 1946. A basketball player and graduate of Villa Rica High School, she wore the purple and gold letter jacket with pride.
She was the licensed real estate broker of Rollins Realty, but had put her career aside to manage (as H.B.) the law office of her husband, B. Keith Rollins in Douglasville. She could always be seen at his side “blinged out” in her finest for any occasion; or she might be seen in jeans and work shirt restoring a historic house in Douglasville, Savannah, DeFuniak Springs or Seagrove Beach; or maintaining and repairing a rental property. But no matter how busy, she always made time for the current rescue dog and to enjoy the sunset each evening.
Her favorite title was “G.G.” as her three grandchildren call her; always have her world famous grilled cheese sandwiches hot and ready for them for a “spend the night” night at home or at the beach.
She proudly watched their son, Jake, mature into the man, husband and father he became. She was just as proud of her daughter-in-law, Paige “more like a beloved daughter” and the mother of her grandchildren.
The family she leaves behind, sorrowful for the loss, but eternally thankful for their time spent with the light of their lives, is her husband (and “honey”), B. Keith Rollins; son and daughter-in-law, Jason Benjamin Rollins and Paige Leigh Rollins; grandchildren (B1, B2 and B3), Benjamin Andrew Rollins, Baylor Alexander Rollins and Brayson Autumn Rollins; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Caroldene; and nephew, David Phillips.
There will be a celebration of her vibrant, delightful life at the Douglasville Conference Center on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, help save a dog or cat in Sandra’s name by making a donation to the Douglas County Humane Society, P.O. Box 747, Douglasville, GA 30133.
