Our hearts were broken for the Hudson family on Monday after we found out what happened back in Douglasville to Scot.
There was a article in Tuesday mornings Aruba paper regarding the storms that came in from Mississippi taking the life of one man in Douglasville. Unable to be in Douglasville Thursday it was nice being able to view his celebration live from Aruba.
Living in Douglasville for over 35years we had the pleasure of knowing Buford and Scot. From our countless visits to the restaurant, to supporting Douglasville Gymnastics, and working with them at Hudsons By the Lake for the Local Scouts events. They were always there.
Scot will be missed by so many, but will continue to live in our hearts and stories forever.
Rest In Peace our friend

This was a very sad day. Many prayers for Scot and the Hudson Family. I am forever reminded of Scott's kindness from our time at DCHS. One day we were talking about his Corvette, and he asked me if I wanted to go for a ride. So, off we went. After a few minutes, he stopped the car, got out and said "your turn". I'll never forget Scot, and still can't believe he let me drive his new Corvette. Rest in Peace.

Me heart break for the Hudson family. A lot of my family, friends and I have worked there over the years and some still do.
It will not be the same without Scot there, but I know he will be looking down and watching with a smile knowing all his hard work along with his fathers will still continue on.
God bless the Hudson family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I grew up in Douglasville, and my love (and addiction) to Hudson’s started while at DCHS. Although I’ve lived in Florida since 1992, Hudson’s is still my favorite, and aside from family, reminds me most of home. I often stop on my way into town, at least once during my stay at Mom’s and again on my way out of town, getting my fix before heading back to Florida. It’s become a favorite of my husband, too, and I told Scot a numbers of times that our Florida military community deserves a Hudson’s! How I’ll miss seeing him behind the counter on my visits. When my Dad passed away in 2010, my Mom said she wondered if he had any idea how many people he touched during his life. I wonder the same about Scot. I hope the blessings he gave so many comfort your family now and for many years to come. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. Please know your family remains in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers.

Scott, You are one of the sweetest 💗 man I have ever met .We had so much fun in High School. I will never for riding on top of your corvette in the Homing Parade with Bill I almost flip off because you;; had it waxed so good. Everytime I saw you, at Hutsons you had a big smile on your face always a warm greeting. Very nice to me and always talking about our friends. You will be so missed.

Scot, The 1st time we saw you, you was only about 10 yrs or so, working with your Dad and Mother at Hudson’s. You were so proud of yourself. Your parents were surely proud of you also! Countless times through the years we saw you working so hard but you always had a wave for us! The last time we saw you was at Hudson’s Hickory House! You had a smile and a wave!!!! You will be missed our friend! Rest In Peace. We will certainly pray for you Dad , Daughter, and family. You were a blessing! Darryl and Carol Couch

I wanted to share my sympathies for the family and Elena with this very difficult time. While I do not live in Ga now. I grew up in Douglasville and called Hudson’s my favorite restaurant and “family feeling” place to go .. and still do! My family .. Greg, Karen, Rebecca (Gibson) and parents Greg (passed in 2019) and Geneva Gibson, all considered the Hudson Family dear friends and such a great asset to the Douglasville community. I am praying for you all & hope you know that your dear family and beloved Scott meant so much to us! He had such a warm and welcoming spirit .. you all made a positive impact on our family! I know he will be sorely missed and that his gift of love will continue to shine in those lives he touched. Many prayers for you all! With Love, Kim Gibson-Pinkert
